Sharon is 28 years old, and has been caring for children most of her life. She has been working with Prime Time since its inception in 1997. Sharon started out as a volunteer in high school, and continued working part-time during school breaks while she attended Colorado State University. She recieved a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies, with an emphasis in Early Childhood. She loves working with the little ones, and wouldn't trade her job for anything in the world.
Lea Maurantonio,
Lead Infant Teacher
"Lea Lea" has worked at Prime Time from August of 2003 until this very day. Prior to that, she had her very own licensed, in-home daycare in California for 25 years. Lea is very loving and nurturing; she loves those babies with all her heart, and they love her too! In her spare time she likes to read, go hiking, and go to flea markets and garage sales.
Shanda has worked in Prime Time's toddler room since 2005. Previous to that, she did home daycare and was a stay at home mom to her two girls, who are now 10 and 13 years old. She is also the girls softball coach during the summer. Shanda truly enjoys all of the children she works with, and they are always happy to see her. In her spare time, she enjoys coaching, watching her girls play sports, and reading.
Lana Ouellette
Lead Toddler Teacher
Lana started working at Prime Time as a sub. The children and the staff loved her and wanted her in the Toddler room full time. Well we got our wish!!! Before Lana started here at Prime Time, she had taken a Day Care Lisencing Class, where she found her enjoyment with children.Lana has a son who attneds Prime Time Infant classroom. Lana will be taking Early Childhood Classes Spring 2010 to become Group Leader Qualified.
Kristen Parrino, Lead PreK Teacher
Kristen has been a part of Prime Time for about 5 years now. She graduated from Western State College with a degree in Secondary Education; she was the gifted and talented coordinator at Norwood School for 3 years, and was most recently our lead teacher in the One Step Ahead classroom. She is now hoping to continue her education, focusing on early childhood special education. She is married and has two daughters, ages 4 and 6 years old, who are also a part of our Prime Time family.
Jessica Mills, Assistant Preschool Teacher
Jessica grew up in Norwood and has worked at Prime Time for the past year. She started as the center's floater, and fell in love with the classroom. She aspires to get her early childhood degree and become certified, all because of her new-found love for teaching young children! Jessi has a son who attends Prime Time toddler room.
Brita Padgett
One Step Ahead Lead Teacher
Brita is in her third and final year as the lead teacher for the school age classroom, One Step Ahead. She is pursuing a teaching degree in Elementary Education and will be completing her student teaching in the fall of 2010. Unfortunately for us, she will then be focusing on obtaining a fulltime teaching position with a public school. Brita has been instrumental in implementing Creative Curriculum and the Social Emotional Competencies into the OSA room. She has been a true asset to Prime Time and we will miss her when she's gone.
Terran Woodward
One Step Ahead Lead Teacher
Terran was hired in December 2009. She has ample experience working with small children and we look forward to seeing her ideas and experience at work in the OSA room. Terran lives in Telluride and is committed to making the 'reverse commute' to Norwood each day to work at Prime Time. We welcome Terran and are excited about her being here.
